Based in Albany, Prism Counseling & Advocacy creates freedom for *2SLGBTQIA+ people through transparent, affirming, safe, and harm-reduction focused service provision. Rochester LGBT Virtual Memorial

Rochester LGBTQ+ Together is a community support and social group for members of the LGBTQIA2S+ community and allies in Rochester and Monroe County, New York. The grassroots organization was formed in 2020 out of a growing need for programming and resources in and for the area’s LGBTQIA2S+ community. What started as a small closed Facebook group quickly grew to include expansive community programming, including multiple Roc Pride events in Summer 2021 and beyond. Rochester LGBTQ+ Together maintains this virtual memorial to honor and remember those we’ve lost within the LGBTQIA2S+ community of Rochester and Monroe County, NY, as well as to make space for our local community to grieve.

The Isaiah House

Isaiah House has cared for the dying in the city of Rochester for 37 years with the belief that all people deserve to die with dignity, acceptance, and honor. Isaiah House was the first comfort care home to welcome an AIDS patient and we continue to serve our community by caring for the homeless, mentally ill, drug and alcohol addicted and all others in need of compassionate end of life care. With 45 volunteers committed to bringing comfort and love to the dying, Isaiah House cares for 2 residents at a time so residents and families can focusing on living with time to prepare for the unthinkable. Death is not an option, it is a destiny we all will share.
